A 90-Minute Private Intensive with Robyn McKay, PhD
Known.
There comes a point in a woman's life when her competence is no longer the question.
You’ve already proven yourself.
Now, the real question is whether you want to keep giving, producing, contributing what you’re capable of.
You’ve kept your word.
You’ve upheld standards.
You’ve absorbed more than was formally agreed to.
Others haven’t always done the same.
You adapted. You carried more. You continued delivering.
From the outside looking in, nothing's really broken.
But on the inside, something shifted.
You still perform.
But you're no longer offering your full capacity.
You’ve begun rationing yourself.
Not because you can’t contribute - but because you’re no longer certain the cost is worth it.
That shift didn’t happen by accident. It has a structure.
And until you understand it, you’ll keep negotiating with yourself instead of deciding.

Out of Phase
Many of the women who find me have spent their entire lives feeling slightly out of phase with the people around them.
Not better than.
Not worse than.
Just different.
They were often the smart girls.
The sensitive girls.
The ones who found it easier to talk with and work with the boys in school than navigate the social dynamics of other girls.
The women who learned how to move comfortably through boardrooms, hospitals, laboratories, universities, and complex organizations, yet still felt oddly disconnected - even awkward - at the neighborhood barbecue, book club, or church social.
Over time, they figured out how to fit in.
They became socially skilled, professionally successful, and highly adaptable.
Most people would never guess how much translation was happening beneath the surface.
But adaptation has a cost.
And eventually, many of these women arrive at a point where they can no longer tell the difference between who they are and who they learned to be.
The hardest part isn't what's happened throughout your career.
It's that those hard moments still cross your mind. On an ordinary Tuesday.
You can’t fully articulate it.
You wouldn’t call yourself unhappy; that’s not accurate.
You have people who depend on you.
Work that matters.
A life that, from the outside, looks like exactly what you were supposed to want.
And yet there’s a part of you that stopped leaning forward.
Not from peace but from recalibration.
You haven't collapses. You've adjusted.
You became more measured.
More selective.
More contained.
Like you decided, inwardly, not to offer the full version of yourself unless you can truly be met.
The strain.
This isn’t conventional burnout.
It’s moral strain, the accumulated impact of broken reciprocity, shifting standards, and carrying more than was agreed to.
Moral strain isn’t pathology.
It’s what happens when integrity meets inconsistency, repeatedly.
It’s the mark of a woman who had something real to give, and gave it, and now finds herself still thinking about it.
Still irritated.
Still embarrassed.
Still unsure where the anger belongs.
From the outside, she should be past it.
From the inside, it never fully resolved.
"What remains unnamed doesn’t disappear.
It influences your perspective, your decisions, and your behavior."
— Robyn McKay, PhD
"Known is where you finally find out who you really are
& how you're wired.
The Invitation
Known isn't
the destination.
It's the threshold.
You've stood in the arena.
You gathered everything: the credentials, the accolades, the proof that you matter.
You gave everything you had to people and systems and roles that could not always hold what you brought.
And you're standing at the threshold of yourself, finally ready to come home.
You're not home yet.
But Known is where we find out what home actually looks like.
Not with a quiz.
Not with a type.
Not with another framework that almost fits.
With someone who can read who you actually are: precisely, clinically, completely, and explain you to yourself in the language of your specific, multidimensional, unrepeatable self.
Because you cannot come home to a self you don't recognize.
What Happens in Known
Not a debrief. An interpretation.
KNOWN is a 90-minute private intensive designed to bring psychological rigor to this exact inflection point.
This isn't therapy.
This is structured identity work grounded in doctoral-level psychological training and decades of pattern recognition.
You leave with:
KNOWN is existential clarity paired with strategic recalibration.
KNOWN is for the accomplished woman who:
Is highly competent and quietly tired of compensating
Is respected - but feels internally misaligned
Has done therapy, coaching, and leadership work, and knows this work with Dr. McKay is different
Is not in crisis
Is at a threshold
Has accomplished many of the things she once worked so hard to achieve, yet finds herself asking, "Now what?"
Has spent much of her life feeling slightly out of phase with the people around her - not better than or worse than, simply different
Has learned how to fit in, adapt, and succeed, but no longer wants adaptation to be the organizing principle of her life
Is approaching retirement, recently retired, or entering a new phase of life after a successful career, and finds herself asking different questions now.
Not "What's next?" in a productivity sense, but
"What matters most?"
"How do I want to contribute?" and
"Who am I when achievement is no longer the primary measure of a life well lived?"
Craves accurate self-understanding and a clearer sense of what this next chapter is asking of her
You don’t need more motivation, productivity hacks, or more mindset work. You're ready for interpretive accuracy.
THE DELIVERABLE
You leave with your story.
The narrative report is what makes Known unlike anything else available.
It's not just a scored profile.
It's not a type assignment or a generated document.
It is Dr. McKay’s interpretive analysis of your personality, written specifically about you.
It identifies your patterns, clarifies your adaptations, and it reveals the original architecture underneath them.
And it points, with precision, toward what comes next.
KNOWN tells you where you are on your own journey - and what that means for every decision that follows.
if you're meat to work with me, you'll recognize yourself right here.
If you're meant to work with me, you’ll recognize yourself here:
You’re credentialed and experienced.
You’re intuitive, emotionally intelligent, and/or creative.
You've done inner work and professional development.
You've been feeling misaligned with the life you've built, even though much of it still looks good on paper.
You may still love your profession.
Or you may have already left it.
Some women come to me while leading teams. Others come after retirement, when the structure that organized their identity is gone and they're asking a different question:
"Who am I now?"
You're thinking about what's next for your work, your contribution, or your life.
You’re incredibly competent, but something's been feeling “off”.
You don’t need motivation or mindset work.
You've been thinking you're burnt out or that there must be something wrong with you.
You crave accuracy.
If this is you, it’s time to take the NEO.

She does this work because she was given much, and because being a blessing to others isn't separate from her psychology.
It's the foundation of it.
Her work bridges clinical rigor with spiritual intelligence: science and soul, without diluting either.
She engages the whole person: intellect, emotion, and conscience.
And she has spent 20 years helping gifted women find their way back to themselves.
Known is where everyone who works with Dr. McKay begins.
Because you can't come home to a self you haven't been properly introduced to.

For the Women I Recognize
You don’t need more inspiration.
The women who enroll in KNOWN are rarely confused.
They’re credentialed and experienced.
They’re intuitive.
They’ve already done a significant amount of work on themselves.
But even after all that, what they don’t still don't know is exactly who they are, or exactly what they're here for.
They can feel that something in their work or leadership no longer fits, but they can’t yet see what comes next.
When I meet a woman like that, I don’t try to convince her.
I just tell her what I already know.
It’s time to take the NEO.
Because once we have accurate, norm-based data - interpreted properly - the ambiguity disappears and their natural confidence - along with what they're meant to do next - reveals itself very quickly.

Every client who works with Dr. McKay begins right here.
These are women who started exactly where Known begins.

~Casey Berglund

~Alyse Bacine, MA
Is this another personality quiz or corporate assessment? 🙄
(Because I’ve already done the DISC,
Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, etc.)
No. Most corporate assessments categorize people into types.
The NEO measures personality traits on validated, population-based scales.
It's one of the most researched and psychometrically validated personality instruments in personality psychology. Your scores are norm-referenced - meaning they're compared against large research samples, not assigned to symbolic labels.
No four-letter codes. No archetypes.
This is structured, statistical personality data, interpreted in context.
Unless you’ve worked with a doctoral-level expert, trained in personality psychology, you likely haven’t experienced a personality assessment at this level of rigor.
FAQ
What makes the NEO different from online assessments?
Online assessments are typically descriptive. The NEO is standardized and norm-based. Your results show precisely where you fall relative to broader population distributions. That allows for calibration, not guessing.
This is not about insight for insight’s sake.
It’s about understanding your structure — and using that understanding to make better decisions.
How long does the assessment take?
Approximately 30 minutes. You complete it prior to our session so that our 90 minutes are entirely interpretive and strategic, not introductory.
How will I know this is right for me?
If reading this page feels less like persuasion and more like recognition, you are likely ready.
If you're still debating whether change is necessary, wait.
When will I receive my narrative report?
Within 5 business days following your session. Your report synthesizes your scores into clear language, highlighting patterns, blind spots, strengths, and calibrated next steps.
Is KNOWN therapy?
No. KNOWN is a structured psychological interpretation process. It is not treatment. It is clarity. Many women come to this work high-functioning and well-informed. What they need is interpretive precision - not emotional excavation.
What if I’ve invested in coaching or therapy before and nothing changed?
KNOWN is not motivational. It is interpretive.
Most clients don’t need more effort. They need calibrated understanding of how they’re wired - and where their internal friction is actually coming from.
Clarity changes trajectory faster than intensity does.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds are available for KNOWN, as it requires significant preparation, interpretation, and written synthesis. Because of the time, attention, and intellectual labor involved, all purchases are final.

You're not paying for time.
You're investing in psychological rigor applied to real life.
You were right about yourself all along.
You didn’t imagine it. But you did start to wonder:
What’s wrong with me?
Why can’t I figure this out?
Why does this still bother me?
You’re usually the one with clarity. The one who sees patterns quickly.
The one others rely on.
So when you couldn’t name this, you turned it inward.
Maybe I’ve lost something.
Maybe I’m not who I thought I was.
From where I sit, you haven’t lost yourself.
But you have adapted.
And what feels like confusion is actually unexamined structure.
KNOWN is where that structure becomes visible.
And once you can see it clearly, you stop questioning yourself
and start deciding again.
